What about when an ally begs their friend to drain their energy so they’ll have enough magic to deal with the situation?
TAT: Life energy based magic (AKA magic comes from within)/magic fatigue. Two favorites for this: 1.When a magic user over extends their magic to save someone and collapses from the fatigue, becoming vulnerable mid-fight; & 2.When a magic or non-magic user has their life energy sucked out of them by an evil magic user, leaving them weak and defenseless. Especially when the evil magic user takes said energy to fuel their own depleted magic or to use against everyone their victim cares about.
